Branding and logos
Logo making
A lot of logos have a hidden meaning, whether it relates to the purpose of the company or the creators ansestory depends. Here are some examples:
These logos don't use more than three colours so it is also important to bear in mind to try and not make a logo to complicated. Otherwise it's really impossible to print on shirts and in general. On the far right is some art that links to his ancestors in Hawaii. The name of the company is called 7 Bucks. Named after the amount of money he had after being dropped from the Canadian football league. A lot of company names involve a 'noun + noun + establishment' = company
Here are some that I came up with by putting random words together:
- rock iron
- clock quality
- brick beat
None of these examples really mean anything but they're a good start to brainstorming company names.
I ended up thinking of potential watch and clock company names, the one I landed on was 'Clock quality' and the logo for clock quality looks like this:
For the design I made the letters clock hands to remind people that the logo is a watch/clock company. The only thing I think I would change is the background colour, I don't think it works. Most watches are silver so maybe instead I would make it light grey but I like the logo I made.
This is the logo that. I made for my video. I based it off of the football team I support, Brentford FC. The Brentford one has a bee in the middle so instead for my logo to add some relevancy I added a laptop instead. I think the logo is simple and useable. The only thing I found to be an issue when making this on photoshop was the sizing. I couldn't get the ring side and height to be equal.
